The SDN and Network Automation University Throwdown™ program is a lively educational workshop and hackathon-like competition. Participation is limited to 10 teams (three students per team), so please register early using the form below. Each member of your team should register individually for your team to qualify.
Registration closes on October 25, or earlier if we reach the maximum number of teams.
Hosted by Juniper and Comcast, the eight-day Throwdown program will be held at the Juniper OpenLab in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The first two days comprise workshop lectures, training, and competition preparation. Afterward, your team will build an application using a Juniper SDN Controller. All teams reconvene on the eighth day to present and demo their solutions for a panel of judges. Each member of the top three finishing teams will receive technology prizes. All Throwdown program participants will have an opportunity to speak with Juniper and Comcast Talent Acquisition teams about available job openings.
Unlike traditional hackathons, this Throwdown program incorporates an educational component, complementing classroom learning and leveraging students’ software and networking skills. It also provides opportunities for you to engage with subject matter experts. To learn more, see our Throwdown program video.
You’ll receive registration confirmation by email. Additional logistics will be sent the week of October 29, 2018.
*Incomplete registrations will not be accepted. All three members of a student team are required to register individually to qualify for the Throwdown program.
