The Challenges

Today's business scales far beyond enterprise headquarters to remote branch locations. As the branch office plays a more strategic role, the enterprise network and security risks can significantly limit the ability to capitalize on business opportunities. Remote locations require a high performance and secure infrastructure that:

  • Creates new sources of revenue and improved communications
  • Retains existing and attracts new clients business opportunities
  • Enhances customer trust and loyalty
  • Retains and empowers a high-quality distributed workforce
  • Promotes operational efficiencies and contributes to a lower total cost of ownership (TCO)

The Solution

Juniper Networks' distributed enterprise network solutions deliver a consistent, secure, high-performance foundation that meets the unique infrastructure challenges of the high-value distributed enterprise. By adopting a solution-based distributed enterprise approach, the limitations of the business no longer need to be dictated by the network. Instead, the enterprise network and its applications can support and accelerate business with a location-agnostic and cost-effective approach. Every organization needs to be able to provide network services without boundaries, thus being able to realize its full potential both now and into the future.

Juniper's SRX Series Services Gateway combines routing, switching, application services, and security within a single device. Juniper's EX Series Ethernet Switches allows up to 10 EX4200 switches to be interconnected to create a single Virtual Chassis configuration that operates as a single device, thus reducing the total number of devices to manage. Juniper's Junos OS integrates routing, switching, and security services, and offers the power of one operating system to reduce complexity, achieve operational excellence, and deliver dynamic services with lower TCO. Juniper's Junos Pulse is an integrated, multi-service network client that provides dynamic connectivity, security, and application acceleration through mobile or non-mobile devices, with a user experience that requires little or no user interaction. Juniper's Network and Security Manager (NSM) provides a single pane of glass for management of the entire network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and security devices.

Benefits

Through a truly integrated solutions-based approach, Juniper Networks offers services without boundaries and delivers the following:

  • Business agility — This is achieved via a fully integrated, dynamic services architecture. With carrier-class availability, all applications are available regardless of location and are agile, which enables the organization to respond to market and IT changes as they occur.
  • Managed risk — This is done by adapting to emerging threats, including new threat vectors, more sophisticated attacks, and a growing audience committing nefarious activity. Through advanced correlation and full forensics, the enterprise can manage the increased risk that it faces as well as demonstrate compliance to regulatory agencies.
  • Global efficiencies — These are achieved via streamlined operations that include a single operating system, which reduces operational expenses and lowers power costs due to highly efficient power consumption. Additionally, it is possible to reduce the physical footprint due to a collapsed architecture resulting from reduced box requirements as part of the solution.
