Junos Web Aware is an innovative edge network application that enables wireless and wireline network operators to leverage their subscriber relationships to further monetize their network with revenue-generating services such as parental control and online advertising.
Junos Web Aware is implemented on service cards for the MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers, and enables revenue-generating services by providing dynamic policy-based identification, redirection, and filtering, of HTTP streams, as well as the ability to insert tags into HTTP headers.
Mobile operators can use Junos Web Aware as a key enabling component of subscription-based parental control services that increase average revenue per user (ARPU). Junos Web Aware can identify subscribers and filter or redirect their web transactions according to provider-defined security policies. Attempted access to blacklisted sites can be blocked and redirected to a web-page hosted by the service provider that displays special offers, promotions and advertisements to the consumer.
Wireless and wireline service providers can also use Junos Web Aware as a key enabling component of targeted ad services that increase customer satisfaction and generate new revenue streams.

Junos Web Aware is a license application that is hosted on the MS-DPC for implementation on MX960, MX480 and MX240 Universal Edge Routers.
Junos Web Aware consists of four individually purchased licenses:
1. A license that enables opt-in services and dynamically associates HTTP transactions with the subscriber that initiated the request
2. A license that enables the insertion of provider-defined tags into an HTTP header when a request matches a provider defined policy
3. A license that dynamically redirects HTTP requests and responses when the request or response matches a provider-defined policy
4. A license that filters, counts and logs HTTP transactions based on a provider defined policies

All Junos Web Aware licenses are implemented on the Multiservices DPC (part number MS-DPC) for the MX960, MX480 and MX240.
