The MX Series is optimized for Juniper Network’s Software Defined Network (SDN) strategy, separating control, management, services, and forwarding, planes, and the JunosV App Engine provides virtualized network services, managed by the Junos Space Network Management platform.
Typical MX Series service provider applications include Carrier Ethernet and Layer 2 VPN support, video distribution, multiplay services and IPTV, aggregation for fixed and mobile backhaul networks, IP routing and Layer 3 VPN support, Broadband Network Gateway functions, managed services, cloud computing, data-center interconnect, and packet core solutions and service consolidation for mobile networks.
