WHOIS: Data Tunneling
This protocol anomaly is non-WHOIS traffic on the WHOIS port. This could indicate an Instant Messaging (IM) client or someone using this open port to send non-WHOIS traffic.
Extended Description
A remote attacker could use the WHOIS port to bypass firewall restrictions, or attempt to tunnel over TCP 43.
