VOIP: Nokia SMS/MMS Denial of Service (SMPP)
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Nokia cell phones' SMS/MMS subsystem via SMPP. A successful attack can result in a denial-of-service condition of the SMS/MMS service on a targeted cell phone. Most vulnerable Nokia cell phones will require a factory reset to re-enable this service after a successful attack. SMPP has a default port of 2775, but many SMS gateways choose a different port. If your SMS gateway uses a different port, you will need to modify the rule this Attack Object uses to listen on your server's SMPP port.
