SIP: Cisco 7940/7960 Phone SIP Invite Denial of Service

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Cisco VOIP phones. Models 7940 and 7960 are vulnerable. Attackers can cause the phone to reset itself by sending a maliciously crafted INVITE request.

Extended Description

Cisco 7940/7960 phones are prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability. Exploiting this issue allows remote attackers to cause the device to reboot, effectively denying service to legitimate users.
