SYSLOG: Malformed Priority
This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects a SYSLOG packet with a malformed priority field.
Extended Description
A syslog message that has a malformed PRI part constitutes a protocol anomaly. Receiving such a message could indicate that an attacker is attempting to attack a syslog implementation. The impact depends on how syslog handlers deal with such messages.
