SSL: OpenSSL DTLS Handshake Double Free Denial of Service

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against OpenSSL DTS Handshake. The vulnerability is due to a double free error during reassembly of the fragmented DTLS handshake. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted message to a target. A successful attack can result in a denial-of-service condition.

Extended Description

Double free vulnerability in d1_both.c in the DTLS implementation in OpenSSL 0.9.8 before 0.9.8zb, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0n, and 1.0.1 before 1.0.1i allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via crafted DTLS packets that trigger an error condition.
