SPYWARE: AproposMedia
This signature detects the runtime behavior of spyware AproposMedia. This spyware installs an Internet Explorer sidebar that displays a list of other users visiting the current Web site. This sidebar also monitors and reports to its controlling server information about Web sites visited by the user. It then uses this information to generate pop-up ads at regular intervals when Internet Explorer is in use.
