SNMP: Encoding Malformed Object ID

This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects an SNMP message with invalid Object ID encoding. This can be an attempt to exploit the SNMP server.

Extended Description

Insecure handling of malformed SNMP messages could result in a denial of service condition, or enable other attacks. Receiving such a packet could indicate an attempt to attack the system. The impact depends on how a vulnerable SNMP implementation handles malformed packets.
