SMTP: Request Error Syntax Error
This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects an unparsed SMTP command line or header line due to a missing ":," to a missing or invalid 3-digit code, or to a missing test after ":." This can indicate a non-standard e-mail client or server or a backdoor/exploit attempt.
Extended Description
Receiving such an SMTP command could indicate a non-standard SMTP implementation or that an attacker is attempting to inject malformed packets into the network.
