SMTP: SmartMail Malformed Command DoS

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Virtualzone's SmartMail Server. Attackers can remotely open a connection to the SmartMail Server on SMTP/25, close the connection, then send data to the server to trigger an access violation in smartsvr.exe and cause mail services to crash.

Extended Description

The successful exploitation of the vulnerability could allow an attacker to deny services to the SmartMail server.
