SCAN: SSH Version Mapper Activity
This signature detects attempts to gather the version of an SSH daemon using the SSH Version Mapper tool. Attackers can use the SSH version information to plan attacks against the SSH daemon.
Extended Description
Obtaining the version number of an SSH server by using the SSH Version Mapper tool could help a remote attacker find vulnerable SSH Daemons, and determine methods to compromise them.
