SCAN: HTTP .htgroup Probe
This signature detects Web clients attempting to access .htgroup files, which the Web server uses to store user group membership. Attackers can use the information in these files to plan attacks against the Web server.

An attacker could view the .htgroup file and use the information it contains to execute further attacks.
