SCADA: Winlog Pro TCP Buffer Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the Winlog Pro. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the server.

Extended Description

Winlog Pro is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to adequately bounds-check user-supplied input. Attackers can leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. Winlog Pro 2.07.00 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
