POP3: Content-type Name Too Long
This protocol anomaly is a mime header content-type with a name length that is longer than the defined value. The default value is 128.
Extended Description
Messages with a long MIME Content-Type header are somewhat anomalous. Receiving such a message could indicate that an attacker is attempting to exploit a vulnerability in a MIME handler, such as a buffer overflow. The impact would depend on how a MIME parser handles such a message.
