POP3: Attachment ending with dot

This signature detects e-mail attachments ending with a dot character (.). Because Microsoft Windows ignores the dot at the end of the filename, attackers can create malicious e-mail attachments that bypass content-filtering software.

Extended Description

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to bypass protective e-mail content filtering measures.
