POP3: Eudora Mail Client Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability Qualcomm Eudora. Qualcomm Eudora 6.2.0 and earlier versions are vulnerable. Attackers can send an overlarge attachment name to overflow the buffer to remotely execute arbitrary code.

Extended Description

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would allow an attacker to deny service, or execute malicious code with the privileges of the logged in user.
