This signature detects the use of the PPLive Peer-to-Peer video client, a popular service in China. The platform currently makes available approximately 100 million video clips and 10,000 video content search records, with a library of more than 200,000 licensed films and teleplays and is the sole licensed online video source in China. Blocking on this signature will block all access to the PPLive and PPTV Web-sites, as well as many affiliated Web-sites regardless of client used.
