P2P: eDonkey2000 and Overnet DoS
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulerability against eDonkey2000 or Overnet servers. Attackers can send a maliciously crafted HELLO packet to crash the application; the system must be manually restarted to restore the service.
Extended Description
A denial of service vulnerability exists in some versions of Overnet and eDonkey. Remote attackers could exploit this vulnerability to conduct a denial of service attack on an affected system.
