MISC: Microsoft WINS Service Remote Code Execution

Extended Description

Microsoft Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability because it fails to properly validate certain replication packets. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges. Successful attacks will result in a complete compromise of affected computers. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.
