HTTP: Joomla city parameter Cross Site Scripting
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known cross-site scripting vulnerability in Joomla. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. Attackers can steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
Extended Description
Joomla! is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks. Joomla! 1.6.5 and prior are vulnerable.
