HTTP: HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition Cross Site Scripting
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against HP Insight Diagnostics. A remote unauthenticated attacker can leverage the vulnerability to achieve cross-site scripting attacks.
Extended Description
HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks. HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition 8.4 and prior are vulnerable.
