HTTP: Cisco CallManager Search Form Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Cisco CallManager Search Forms. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing dangerous Cross-Site Scripting, which if accessed by a victim, can allow the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
Extended Description
Cisco CallManager is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. Exploiting this vulnerability could allow an attacker to perform cross-site scripting attacks on unsuspecting users in the context of the affected website. As a result, the attacker may be able to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks. Cisco CallManager 4.1.1 is reported vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
