HTTP: Apple Safari parent.close Code Execution

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Apple Safari. A successful attack can lead to arbitrary code execution.

Extended Description

Apple Safari is prone to an unspecified remote code-execution vulnerability. Successful exploits will allow an attacker to run arbitrary code in the context of the user running the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. NOTE: To successfully exploit this issue, the browser pop-up blocker needs to be disabled. The pop-up blocker in Safari is enabled by default. Apple Safari 4.0.5 running on Windows is vulnerable; other versions may be affected as well.
