HTTP: Microsoft Internet Explorer 'toStaticHTML' Information Disclosure

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous JavaScript, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.

Extended Description

Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft SharePoint are prone to a cross-domain information-disclosure vulnerability because they fail to properly enforce the same-origin policy. An attacker can exploit this issue to access local files or content from a browser window in another domain or security zone. This may allow the attacker to obtain sensitive information or may aid in further attacks.
