HTTP: Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer Memory Allocation Code Execution

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer. A successful attack can lead to arbitrary code execution.

Extended Description

Microsoft PowerPoint is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability due to an integer-overflow error. An attacker could exploit this issue by enticing a victim to open a malicious PowerPoint file. Successfully exploiting this issue would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the currently logged-in user.
