HTTP: Apple iTunes M3U File Handling Buffer Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the Apple iTunes. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the application.

Extended Description

Apple iTunes is prone to a heap-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.
