HTTP: ACDSee FotoSlate id Parameter PLP File Buffer Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in ACDSee FotoSlate. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the server.

Extended Description

ACDSee FotoSlate is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. ACDSee FotoSlate 4.0 Build 146 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
