HTTP: Adobe PageMaker Font-Name Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Adobe PageMaker 7. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the user.

Extended Description

Adobe PageMaker is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it into an insufficiently sized buffer. An attacker could exploit this issue to crash affected applications, deny service to legitimate users, or take over the system. A vendor-supplied fix is available. This issue affects PageMaker 7.0.1 and 7.0.2; other versions may also be affected.
