HTTP: PcVue Scada Multiple ActiveX
This signature detects attempts to use unsafe ActiveX controls in PcVue Scada. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX controls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
Extended Description
The PcVue ActiveX control is prone to multiple vulnerabilities. Successfully exploiting these issues allows remote attackers to create or overwrite arbitrary local files and execute arbitrary code. Failed exploit attempts may result in a denial-of-service condition. PcVue 10.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
