HTTP: Dell DellSystemLite.Scanner Unsafe ActiveX Control Information Disclosure
This signature detects attempts to use unsafe ActiveX controls in Dell DellSystemLite.Scanner. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX controls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain information about the client system.
Extended Description
The DellSystemLite.Scanner ActiveX control is prone to a directory-traversal vulnerability and an information-disclosure vulnerability because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. Exploiting these issues may allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information. DellSystemLite.ocx 1.0.0.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
