HTTP: DecisionTools SharpGrid ActiveX Control Remote Code Execution
This signature detects attempts to use unsafe ActiveX controls in DecisionTools SharpGrid. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX controls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
Extended Description
DecisionTools is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability. Successfully exploiting this issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application (typically Internet Explorer) using the ActiveX control. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in denial-of-service conditions. DecisionTools 5.7 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
