HTTP: Creative Labs AutoUpdate "CTSUEng.ocx" Overflow
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Creative Labs AutoUpdate Eng "CTSUEng.ocx" ActiveX Control. An attacker can create Web pages containing dangerous ActiveX calls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
Extended Description
Creative Software AutoUpdate Engine is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of an application using the ActiveX control (typically Internet Explorer). Failed attacks will likely cause denial-of-service conditions.
