HTTP: WordPress WP-StarsRateBox Plugin SQL Injection

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known SQL injection vulnerability in the WordPress WP-StarsRateBox plugin. It is due to insufficient validation of a parameter sent to the wp-starsratebox.php script. An attacker can exploit this issue by manipulating the SQL query logic to carry out unauthorized actions on the underlying database.

Extended Description

The WP-StarsRateBox plugin for WordPress is prone to an SQL-injection vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data before using it in an SQL query. Exploiting this issue could allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database. WP-StarsRateBox 1.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
