HTTP: Joomla jmsfileseller Component Local File Inclusion

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known local file inclusion vulnerability in Joomla. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the com_jmsfileseller component. A remote attacker can exploit this by enticing a target to open a malicious URL link. A successful attack can result in arbitrary code execution and/or loss of sensitive information.

Extended Description

The 'com_jmsfileseller' component for Joomla! is prone to a local file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to obtain potentially sensitive information and execute arbitrary local scripts in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying computer; other attacks are also possible. com_jmsfileseller 1.0 is affected; other versions may also be vulnerable.
