HTTP: Joomla JE Story Submit Component view Parameter Local File Inclusion
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known local file inclusion vulnerability in the Joomla JE Story Submit Component. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can exploit this by enticing a target to open a malicious URL link. A successful attack can result in arbitrary code execution and/or loss of sensitive information.
Extended Description
The JE Story Submit component for Joomla! is prone to a local file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to obtain potentially sensitive information and execute arbitrary local scripts in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the computer; other attacks are also possible.
