HTTP: Akarru Social BookMarking Engine 4.3.34 Remote File Inclusion

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known remote file inclusion vulnerability in the Akarru Social BookMarking Engine. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in main_content.php script. A remote attacker can exploit this by enticing a target to open a malicious URL link. A successful attack can result in arbitrary code execution and loss of sensitive information.

Extended Description

Akarru Social BookMarking Engine is prone to a remote file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this issue to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible. This issue affects Akarru Social BookMarking Engine version 0.4.3.34.
