HTTP: iMatix Xitami Web Server HEAD Processing Denial Of Service

Xitami is an open source web server. A vulnerability has been reported in Xitami Web Server that could allow remote attackers to crash the vulnerable service. The vulnerability is due to a design error in Xitami code that handles the HTTP request HEAD. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a special request to the service on TCP port 80 containing a HEAD request referring to a directory. Successful exploitation would terminate the application, and result in a Denial of Service condition.
