HTTP: ListServ Multiple Buffer Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against LSoft LISTSERV. Attackers can exploit numerous buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the LISTSERV code to execute arbitrary code or create a denial of service.

Extended Description

Listserv is affected by multiple unspecified vulnerabilities. These issues may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code to gain access to an affected computer. Some issues may lead to denial of service attacks. Further details will be released in August 2005. This BID will be updated and divided into separate BIDs when more information is available.
