DNS: Name Too Long Buffer Overflow
This protocol anomaly is a DNS name that exceeds 255 characters. This can cause problems for some DNS servers.
Extended Description
Any DNS datagram that contains a domain name exceeding 255 bytes in length constitutes a protocol anomaly. This condition could indicate a network configuration error, or that an attempt to inject malformed DNS datagrams into the network is being committed.
