IRC: Password Overflow
This protocol anomaly detects an IRC password length that exceeds the user-defined maximum. The password is an argument for the PASS command. The default password length is 16; you can change this setting in the Sensor Settings Rulebase>Protocol Thresholds and Configuration>IRC>Password length.
Extended Description
Passwords that exceed the maximum user-defined length are protocol anomalies and should be detected.
