APP: Point to Point Tunneling Protocol Unknown Control Type

This signature detects illegal control type settings in Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP). Attackers can send a PPTP server malformed header data and cause the service to crash.

Extended Description

A PPTP packet containing unknown control type is a protocol anomaly. It could indicate an attack against a PPTP program is underway, or that a PPTP program has been incorrectly configured.
