APP: OPC Systems.NET RPC Packet Remote Denial of Service
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against OPC Systems.NET RPC Packet. The vulnerability exists due to an error in the way that the affected server handles malformed data. An attacker can send a crafted message to the server causing its termination, thereby creating a denial-of-service condition.
Extended Description
OPC Systems.NET is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability. An attacker may exploit this issue to crash the affected application, denying service to legitimate users. OPC Systems.NET 4.00.0048 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
