APP: Adobe ColdFusion DataServicesCFProxy Commons BeanUtils Insecure Deserialization

This signature detects attempt to exploit an insecure deserialization vulnerability has been reported in the Flex integration service of Adobe ColdFusion. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a maliciously crafted serialized parameter to the target application via a RMI call. Successful exploitation could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the server application.

Extended Description

Adobe ColdFusion versions July 12 release (2018.0.0.310739), Update 6 and earlier, and Update 14 and earlier have a deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
