JUNOS Security Certification Track
The Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program (JNTCP) JUNOS Security certification track is a program that allows participants to demonstrate competence with Juniper Networks technology. Successful candidates demonstrate thorough understanding of Internet technology in general and Juniper Networks J-series routing platforms with JUNOS Security software in particular.
Effective September 19, 2009, the JNCIA-JUNOS exam (JN0-100) will be a required prerequisite for attaining the JNCIS-SEC (JN0-331) certification. These exams can be taken in either order, but both must be passed in order to be awarded the JNCIS-SEC certification. The following certifications are acceptable substitutes for the JNCIA-JUNOS requirement: JNCIA-ER or JNCIA-M.

With the release of the JN0-331, the JNCIS-ES certification has been renamed JNCIS-SEC. This change will be reflected in program participant's exam record on Certmanager for those who pass the JN0-330 exam.

Designed for experienced networking professionals with intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks JUNOS software, this written exam verifies the candidate's basic understanding of Internet technology and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills. JNCIS-SEC exam topics are based on the content of the JUNOS for Security Platforms instructor led training course. JNCIS-SEC certification is valid for two years. Recertification is achieved by passing the current version of the JNCIS-SEC exam.
