The Application Services-Modular Line Card (AS-MLC) is an open, x86-based platform that hosts advanced services and applications on chassis-based MX Series Universal Edge Routers. It supports Junos Content Encore, and delivers up to 40Gbps of application throughput with 6.4 TB of usable NAND storage.
The AS-MLC also supports the JunosV App Engine, which unifies application management, optimizes the network for application provisioning and performance, and redefines the network architecture by providing a virtualization platform consisting of a single virtual plane.
The AS-MLC provides a high-performance, MX Series-integrated foundation that helps service providers and enterprises optimize their networks for service delivery, reduce reliance on appliances and streamline their operations environment.
