Green Certifications

The 80 PLUS is an initiative promotes energy efficiency in power supply units (PSU). 80 PLUS certifications are applied to products with greater than 80% energy efficiency at 20%, 50% and 100% of rated load, and a power factor of 0.9 or greater at 100% load. The Juniper goal is to use Power Supply Units that waste 20% or less electric energy as heat loss at the specified load levels, reducing electricity use and costs compared to less efficient PSUs.

The Climate Savers Computing Initiative is a nonprofit group of eco-conscious consumers, businesses and conservation organizations started by Google and Intel in 2007. As participants in the Climate Savers Computing Initiative, Juniper commits to producing products that meet specified power-efficiency targets still being defined for the network industry.

Juniper Networks Inc. complies with China RoHS on all products that include specific China RoHS label designations and reporting metrics for restricted substances. China RoHS symbols are included on products that are free of all restricted substances present above the permitted levels.

China RoHS symbol included on products that contain restricted substances present above the permitted levels, the “50” in the center of the symbol is the “Environmentally Friendly Use Period” for the product. All products with this symbol are accompanied by the table of hazardous materials indicating location in products.

Juniper Networks Inc. marks product shipping containers with the “Green Dot” label to signify our participation as a Repak member through financial contributions to the cost, recovery, and recycling of product packaging per the "Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive" – 94/62/EC

Juniper Networks Inc. utilizes the international recycling symbol on all products and packaging to insure end users recognize that our products are designed for recyclability. It is our goal to reduce waste in all regional sales locations.
