Junos Space Connectivity Services Director

Junos Space Connectivity Services Director ensures effortless services provisioning with a simple interface for design, management, and validation.

Junos Space Connectivity Services Director gives service providers and enterprises the power to quickly design, provision, and deliver new IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, and Packet Optical services across their networks to deliver the superior customer experience required in today’s always-on environment.

Connectivity Services Director equips network staff with full life-cycle management of connectivity services. Included among these services are legacy TDM, ATM, and IP/MPLS-based Layer 2/Layer 3 (L2/L3) VPN, virtual private LAN service (VPLS), Carrier Ethernet, and Packet Optical. Other tasks that Connectivity Services Director performs include automated service discovery, resource management, service design, error-free provisioning, troubleshooting, and monitoring. It also helps you decommission these services through a simple, refined, intuitive GUI.

Running on the Junos Space Management Platform, Connectivity Services Director uses all the features and functions that are available through Junos Space, including schema-based configuration management, clustering, and geo-redundancy.

In addition to providing a GUI for service management, Connectivity Services Director supports a northbound Representational State Transfer (RESTful)-based API that allows network providers to completely automate service provisioning and effectively position their networks for future SDN and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) architectures.

Features + Benefits

Best-practices service designs

Predefined, best-practice service designs for TDM and ATM, Carrier Ethernet, and MPLS services can be repurposed to speed time-to-market.

Point-and-click provisioning

Workflow-driven point-and-click provisioning allows operators to easily select endpoints for activating a customer VPN.

Pre-and-post configuration validation

Pre- and post-configuration validation ensures effective service provisioning and troubleshooting for improved service assurance.

Fault and performance management

Fault and performance management lets network operators manage service-level agreements (SLAs) and periodic health checks for services.

Northbound APIs

Northbound APIs for service orchestration and automation facilitate integration with operations and business support system (OSS/BSS) platforms and creation of customer portals.

Synchronization management

Optional synchronization management automates the provisioning of complex synchronization architectures based on Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE).

Customized QoS profiles

Customized QoS profiles for bandwidth management facilitate QoS configuration, improving service deliveries for certain types of network traffic.

Service validation and SLA monitoring

Service validation and SLA monitoring enable network providers to guarantee SLAs after a service has been provisioned.
